Procedure to enrol in a Distance University
The actual process of applying in to a distance university is actually not that much different from applying to a full time course. You are usually required to go through the same type of processes, and provide the same type of documents. However, unlike full-time courses, you can usually apply to a part-time course anytime; there are very less deadlines during application.
The first step during application will be to fill an online application form. This is rudimentary, and is done so that the university receives the information it requires about its students. The questions asked will be similar to the questions asked while enrolling for full time courses.
The second step of application will be to upload all the required documents. Most universities require proof of your educational level; you will need to upload a copy of your high school degree, for bachelor’s courses or a copy of your bachelors’ degree, if you’re enrolling for a masters’ course.
Some universities have been known to conduct online interviews, as part of a screening process. While most do not, sometimes you may be asked to go through this step- although it depends on the course and the university.
These are the major steps while applying for a part-time course. After you finish your application and attend the interview, you’ll receive a reply on your enrolling status. After being given the green signal, you can start enrolling and attending the course in no time. Infinitely easier compared to a full-time course application, this is also one of the major advantages that a distance education course has!
